| Pets
All dogs and cats, of any age, kept or harbored within city
limit, must be licensed each year. A dog license should be
obtained through the Village Office. The ordinance states
that animals are to be on a leash or confined on the property
owners land. If animals are running at-large, they will be
picked up and the owner will be subject to a fine. The fee
for a pet license is $2 and proof of current shots.
Burning
Law
The Village of Morrill does not allow burning within the corporate
city limits of Morrill. Burning outside of corporate limits
is permitted, only if the person burning requests permission
and receives an open burning permit in writing from the local
fire chief.
Disposal
of Trees & Limbs
To dispose of trees or limbs a tree dump, along with a compost
pile, is located 1/4 mile south of the Church of Christ on
Country Road 9. The tree dump is open on Saturdays.
Sidewalk
Snow Removal
Snow must be removed five hours after the end of the storm,
unless the snow fall occurs overnight, in which case the sidewalk
must be cleaned before10 a.m. the following day.
Bicycles
There are no laws pertaining to bicycles. The Village Office
does have bicycle licenses available for purchase. The license
fee is $1 and is available at the Village Office. |
